There are plenty of opportunities to catch trout in New England. Here are just a few examples of trout fishing locations for you to choose from.

Plenty of places here to pull trout. Try the Ellis, wildcat or Sako. There are also a lot of ponds in the forest some accessible only by hiking. These have a pretty good trout population. Sawyer Pond in Livermore, Falls Pond off the Kancamagus Highway (Route 112) near Rocky Gorge, Mountain Pond or Province Pond.
Dozens of small creeks flow through this area. It should be pretty easy to bushwack and get to unmolested holes. The fish here are mainly brook trout. From my understanding they are not exactly picky eaters..
The green river is a smaller stream,a good place to avoid the crowds. It is possible to catch decent trout here. The green river runs for a long ways, with parts of it being stocked with rainbows.
